I've been watching the new AMC show "The Walking Dead"
It is fucking awesome!
That was just the opening credits, and mind you, not the final opening credits you see in the actual show but one that came out on the internet about a month before the show started.
Its based on an awesome comic book, which the first 77 issues i devoured in about a week of constant reading.
The comic was (and still is, its been going since 2003) nothing short of brilliant. A totally humanist look at the Zombie Apocalypse. Not just the blood and guts (of which there is plenty) but what happens to the hearts and minds of the survivors.
Its a deeply affecting comic with some amazing cliff hangers and the TV show is doing a brilliant job of staying true to the comic's sense of pathos and story, with some passages faithfully recreated and other new ones reimagined from scratch.
It's just awesome and me and my fiance cant get enough of watching it. We hang on and hang on til every next episode.
